It involves a series of tests designed to simulate harsh environmental factors and physical stressors that a device might encounter during its lifecycle. For phone cases, the key aspects of this test include:

Drop Test: The phone case is dropped multiple times from varying heights (usually up to 4 feet) onto different surfaces, including hard and uneven ones, to assess how well it protects the phone from impact.

Shock Test: The case is subjected to sudden impacts and vibrations to determine its ability to absorb shock and protect the phone from sudden jolts or falls.

Temperature Extremes: The case is exposed to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, to ensure it can protect the phone in diverse climates without warping or cracking.
